Instructors

Todai was founded by Matt and Vicki Woodard in 1998. Based on the foundation of self-protection and self-growth, the Woodards work to bring the life-building values of Budo Taijutsu to their students and community.

Matt Woodard, Shihan

Matt Woodard, former law enforcement officer and Executive Protection Specialist, heads the team of instructors providing quality caring instruction for all ages. With almost 32 years of martial training and several Black Belt level grades in various arts, Matt has dedicated over the last 20 years specifically to his pursuit of Budo Taijutsu in which he holds the rank of Judan-San, or 10th Degree Black Belt - 4th Level.

Vicki Woodard, Shidoshi

Vicki Woodard is the senior instructor available at Woodard's Todai Dojo. She coordinates all training programs and follows the implementation and dissemination of information for the training programs. She has a degree in Physical Education and currently holds her 5th Degree Black Belt in Budo Taijustu.
