When you train at Woodard's Todai Dojo, you become effective in the use of and defense against both ancient martial arts weapons and modern day weapons. We train in the use and disarming of knives, swords, corded weapons like the kusari fundo, hanbo (3 ft. staff), bo (6 ft staff), shuriken (throwing stars) and firearms. We even throw in non-traditional martial arts weapons like kubotan (small pressure point tool), shuko (ninja climbing claws) and nunchaku – a crowd favorite.
